Curbside recycling arrives in Portland.

The front entryway to a Howard Street residence matches the City of Portland's new recycling bins. The new, citywide recycling program began this week, and residents can now have newspaper, paperboard, cardboard, aluminum, glass, and numbers one and two plastic picked up at their curbside, instead of hauling their renewables to sparsely located dumpsters throughout the area.
